October Monthly Buys

Soooo, I feel like I've been spending carelessly the past few months. Shame on me! After, this month I am going to try my hardest to NOT buy anything else in regards to hair until next year...............I doubt it lol BUT I will try my hardest to not buy anything else unless we truly need it (or Bee Mine has a sale!) Because I have realized that we have a ton of products opened right now and I honestly don't like it. I don't want to waste any products either.

Now to the good stuff.
HAIR
3 packs of 24 hair ties at $3 - Purchased from the dollar store. So far, I like these hair ties! They are similiar to the Faded Glory brand found at Walmart sold for $2.50 I don't remember how many came in those packs though. I actually went to a different Dollar Storr today and found more colors! Even a pack of all black *sigh* I was so tempted lol next time...next time.
Carrot oil by Hollywood Beauty $2.84 - bought @ Winco (grocery store) I will do a review soon! Basically, I got this after hearing a few things about carrot oil. It helps with hair breakage, split ends and hair damage.

Headwraps $.88 - Purchased at Winco as well and snagged it on sale. I thought these were too cute to pass up esp at the price!
Cara B products (!!!) $28.00 - Purchased during their awesome buy 1 get 1 free sale! I def could not pass this up, it was a great opportunity to try out their products. Review soon!!!

NAILS (sorry no pics!)
(2) Sinful Colors nail polish buy 1 get 1 50% off - Rite Aid had a buy 1 get 1 50% off a few weeks ago (I also heard Walgreens had another one of their frequent sales of. 99ea recently. Thankfully, I missed it!). I picked up two, somewhat similiar colors, "slate" and "thimbleberry"

Wet N Wild nailpolish $.74 - Another sale CVS usually always has in certain Wet N Wild polishes. Picked up the color "Dreamy Poppy" a pinkish color to add to my collection for Breast Cancer Awarenes.

On top of these great buys I also received a ton of goodies in the mail. A few for review purposes and a few from giveaway winnings. I don't want to give it all away but to give you an idea of reviews to be coming soon include: Created by Nature, Karite, Urielle and B.A.S.K

September monthly buys

This month we didn't buy too much but that's a good thing.

Here's what we picked up:

Lou Ana pure coconut oil - we got this in the baking section of Walmart instead of the one they normally carry because they said its not longer available. I haven't used this on her hair yet. Just to make some yummy sweet potato fries!

The first thing I noticed upon opening was the smell. There's no smell! Which I am not use to. I found out this is refined coconut oil which means its impurities were screened out which removed its distinctive odor. Prior to this we used extra virgin coconut oil that was UNrefined. Soooo I'm a little hesitant to use it on her hair but I will for sure update and let you know how it goes.

Goody Ouchless shower comb: the pink comb we purchased from Sally's broke within weeks! The teeth just began to snap (see pic below). I picked this up at Walmart as well. So far so good. Its very sturdy, too which I love.

po lil tink tink

Desert Essence 100% pure Jojoba Oil - This purchase is the beginning of a bunch of other oils and essential oils I plan to buy for mixes. I have not used it yet but decided to buy this first because it was the cheapest 6.99-8.99 and I have also heard Jojoba oil is the best carrier oil for essential oils. I grabbed this from our local grocery store in the organic section.

Confetti nail polishes - purchased at CVS for $1.99ea . I got Happy Birthday (a dark glittery purple) and Lonesome Dove (a light grey) will post reviews soon.

August monthly buys

Let me start off by saying I purchased from two different companies this month (natural hair related and nail related) and I haven't received their package yet so I'm waiting on that.
These 3 items I DID NOT purchase this month. I purchased some time in late June and have now received it this month. More on this in another post.
This month's buys:
HAIR
Extra Virgin Olive Oil review here $2.98
Queen Helene Royal Curl Curl Shaping Cream review here $6.99
Showercap (not pictured) $1.93
(2) for kids' sake bows $1.00EA
NAILS:
Sinful Colors Soul mate swatch here $1.99
Sinful Colors Seaweed $1.99

Skincare:
Biore warming anti-blackhead cleanser $5.97

I went well over my budget this month and there is so much more I want to buy. I'm not too sure how this is working out for us! Review on the other products coming soon.

DISCLAIMER: I purchased these products with my own money and all reviews are my honest opinon.

July monthly buys

At the beginning of this month I decided to add a feature on my blog where I would list all the hair-related items I bought for the month. I also gave myself a limit of $25 and $40 for ordering products online like Bee Mine, Curlz, CUSH...any specific product line online.

For the month of July I spent a total of $17.20 + the $39.29 on Bee Mine products. I didn't go over either of my limits.

Here's how I spent the money:
WALMART
Glycerin $2.89
Soap holder (for Bee Mine shampoo bar, I forgot about this so its not pictured) .97

SALLY BEAUTY SUPPLY
Hair sectioning clips 12 for $1.79
Widetooth detangle comb $1.79
Ouchless ponies $1.19
Babyliss scalp massager $2.19

BEE MINE PRODUCTS:
16oz Bee Mine Luscious Balanced Moisturizer in Coconut $34.97
8oz Bee Mine Curly Hold Butter unscented $13.97
Purity Rhassoul Clay Clarifying Bar $8.00
I also received a sample of the Bee Mine Bee Lovely Moisturizing Daily Conditioner and the Bee Nrished Ayurvedic Herbal Bar.

So in total I spent $56.49 now that isn't a lot BUT that's a lot to be spending on HAIR. If I were to spend $50 every month thats $600 a year! This could be money spent on other items. I'm trying to spend smart here so I'm hoping I will be able to keep within my price ranges every month.

I'm pleased with the items I purchased this month. The glycerin is really good in the mixture I created to spritz on her hair from time to time. The flower clips I think are cute but I'm not too fond of because the clip is small and plastic not like an alligator clip or anything. So when I used it in Leelee's hair for this style, I had to grab a thin piece of hair because it wouldn't snap shut with a big amount. Also, the flowers seem frayed and pieces of it would be in her hair. The items from sally I really like. Both the brushes are great so far and I will do a review soon. I love the fact that they are both plastic with wide spaced apart teeth so its easy to clean. The ponies I bought for banding since she needed new ones and I'm still trying to decide if I like them or not for that purpose. The Bee Mine products I of course am satisfied with! Stay tuned for more reviews and updates of the items I purchased this month (:

How much do you think you spend every month on items for your hair? Do you think you need to budget?

30 day challenge, day 7 - Five pet peeves
1.) Stepping out the shower with nothing on the floor. Ugh, I can't do it! I have to have something there to step on.
2.) Washing dishes with cold water. Noope! It has to be warm or hot.
3.) When people Typ3 AnD TaWk Lyke diiZ..why do you do this? Esp if you're over the age of 12! What is the point of adding extra letters that do not need to be there? A simple you=yuh, yew, y u uh..are you serious?
4.) When the wrong word or phrase is used. Example: don't take me for granite (don't take me for GRANTED). Recently, I seen inter-wishing for intuition -____- I'm sorry, it bugs me. #dontjudgeme!
5.) People who are loud for NO apparent reason in public places..its not that serious.
