Review: Chocolashea line ♥

I came across this WONDERFUL company called Chocolashea. I have always saw posts of these awesome products on my Facebook timeline and have been dyyyying to try it out. I grabbed a haircare sampler combo while there was a 25% off code being offered.
The haircare sampler combo includes the Aloe Spritz Healing Conditioner, African Black soap and Chocolate Whipped Hair Butter with Black Seed Oil.

First let me say her packaging was a-dor-able. I am obviously in love with anything cutesy and girly and this line has seriously got me sold!! The smells are sooooo yummy! My daughter and I couldn't get enough of it.

Let me start off with the Aloe Spritz Healing Conditioner. This is an Aloe-Vera multi-purpose spritzer.

The claim: Soothes dry and damaged hair and skin. Protects against the sun and will leave your hair and skin moisturized, super soft and refreshed and looking hydrated.

Ingredients: organic aloe-vera, glycerin, honey grape-seed oil, jojoba oil, vitamin e, essentail oil blend, natural fragrance

This spritz is aaaamazing. I have never used a daily spritz on Leelee before and always wanted to. This is perfect! After spritzing this on Leelee's hair it left it sooo moisturized right away! It also leaves the right shine to it. Plus, it smells just like a candy cane! The only thing I don't like about it is that it leaves my hands pretty sticky. It leaves her hair the same way if I apply too much but eventually her hair soaks it up and it disappears.

Here is a photo of her hair with just the spritz to moisturize.

Next up is the Chocolate Whipped Hair Butter with Black Seed oil.

Indulge your senses with Chocolashea's Peppermint Patty Hair Candy with a super fun natural aroma. This creamy nourishing Hair Butter is 100% natural super rich with hair loving vitamins and packed with Hair nourishing oils such as coconut oil, based with Pure African Shea, Organic Cocoa Butter, and black seed oil. Ingredients that stimulate the scalp and promote hair growth. Our soothing formula glides nicely on your hair leaving it soft, supple adding a natural shine and unique scent. A little goes a very long way. This Hair Butter is supper light for easy application and also excellent for dry sensitive skin and great for stretchmarks! 100% Natural!

The claim: Promotes healthy, strong and shiny growing hair.

Ingredients: signature natural butter blend, black seed oil, honey, vitamin e, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, glycerin, essential oils.

This Butter contains omega-6 and omega-3 essential fatty acids, which help provide moisture for your hair and encourage hair growth and strength. Specifically, the gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) in black currant seed oil is an omega-6 acid that can help prevent hair thinning, splitting and dryness, according to Dr. Andrew Weil.

First off, this product smells like nutty chocolate! MMmmmmM good! This product is pretty thick and doesn't melt easily for us. I normally wouldnt use products like this but it did a really good job at moisturizing her hair and keeping it that way. It smells so delicious and works great as a combo with the spritz. Everytime Leelee sees me pulling it out to usr on her she goes, "yayy! Chocolate for m hair!"

Here is a pic using both the aloe vera spritz and whipped hair butter.
Along with my order, Ladrica was generous enough to include chocolate kiss lip balm, candied cakes cuticle and massage oil and

I love love love the candied cakes cuticle and massage oil! It smells like sugary sweet cookie and cakes! I have to hide it from Leelee or she will try to use it all! Lol i'm so sad though because I decided to carry it in my purse and half of the bottle (4oz!!) emptied out into my purse! Atleast, my purse smells good now :(

The chocolate lip balm was too dry for my lips and didn't do much moisturizing. The other cuticle was something I liked, too!

In all, I would HIGHLY recommend trying out this line. I absolutely am IN LOVE with the products (If you can't already tell lol) Def check out www.Chocolashea.com and "LIKE" their Facebook page as well. She is always offering randon discounts and codes so dont miss out!!

Btw, come back .....I don't know, tomorrow? For a surprise! (:

product review: nail foils from kkcenterhk

I'm excited to review these nail patches/stickers/foils/wraps I received fromkkcenterhk to review.http://

I have no idea the proper name even though one says nail sticker and the other says nail patch because I know this product is also known as nail foil and nail wraps as well. In case you aren't familiar with these products it is an alternative to nail polish. They are decorative (or plain) foils that are applied to fingernails or toenails. They are hard to apply (atleast to me) and some salons do it as well since theyre more qualified.

There are nail foils that require t

he use of heat to apply, salons use a heat lamp but you can also use a hair dryer at home. Some even us it without the heat and there are some that just need water.

I totally forgot about the use of heat when I did this review. When I first heard about nail foils I watched a tutorial and one used heat while another just applied it and smoothed it out onto the nails. Anyway, this my first time using these types of products.

For this tutorial I used the design with the hearts.

1.)I first removed any previous polish I had on.
2.)Then chose the nail foil that was closest in size to my nail bed and cut it out.
3.)I removed the backing and placed the rounded corner on my nail bed.
4.) Gently smoothed the nail foil as much as I could without creating any bubbles.
5.) Cut off excess foil
6.) Filed gently in a downward motion to file the rest of the foil off.

And you're done! I wasn't too happy with the results. I was a bit too excited to try this and I did it while my kids were awake so you can imagine how that went. I rushed through it and didn't take my time.

It probably looks better in the pics because I tried to hide the flaws lol

To remove is easy. It says to wash off with warm water and soap. All I had to do was peel it off. No problems! Btw, this only lasted me a few hours! Everybody has different experiences though and I am no expert at applying these..yet.

Pros:
It def beats having to smell nail polish!
It comes in really cute designs (a plus for people who are not good at doing nail designs)
No drying time!
Easy, to a certain extent and based on your skills

Cons:
Contradicting myself a bit here, but it can be difficult to apply if you do not know what you're doing.
Doesnt seem to last too long

You can purchase these items at www.kkcenterhk.com or simply search nail foils or patches to see what else comes up. Sally Hansen also sells cute nail stickers as well!

Born Pretty Nail Stamp Review & Haul

this design is the FIRST time using the stamper. As you can see, the thumb print is crooked and the pointer is barely there. It still came out cute!

I finally received my package from Born Pretty (really fast shipping considering it is all the way from Hong Kong.) I have purchased from Born Pretty before but it was through their Ebay store. I recently, found out they had a website and decided to try their nail stamp products.
here are the items that I purchased (click on the item to view and possibly even purchase!):
Dual double stamping nail art
stamper with scraper
$3.03
leopard and lace design nail art template $2.32
black and white nail art varnish for stamping$3.41
nail art template m81 $2.99
in total I spent $10.04
I used a discount code. To save more you can also use the code TTL73 from divalocks that offers an extra 5% off. They also ALWAYS offer FREE SHIPPING ANYWHERE.
Later I switched up the look and added rhinestones (also purchased through them on their Ebay store. I'm pretty sure they have it on their site as well.) For this look the following products were used
I used the black nail varnish to use with the leopard and lace nail template, the stamper and scraper, black rhinestones, a dotter to attach the rhinestones (purchased the dotter from them as well in a previous order), clear coat by Wet N Wild to attach the rhinestones and Sinful Colors Soul Mate as the base.

Now here is my review: It is very difficult for me to get the stamper to work correctly every time. Its a hit or miss for me and I have no idea why. I have read blog reviews and have seen Youtube videos of the stamper working fine. I still have a lot to learn. When I use the stamper sometimes either the image doesn't pick up all the way or stamp all the way. I have used my own polish AND the nail polish varnish purchased from them that is intended for the nail template. I have no idea what I am doing wrong! BUT when it does work, I love it! It is def an easy way to doll up your nails esp if youre like me and not talented or crafty at all when it comes to designing nails! I love that they offer VERY low prices and even offer FREE SHIPPING. I will keep working with it and update (:

Please check out Born Pretty right now!

once upon a curl

SIDENOTE: I have been waiting to do this review since June when I got these items! Now that she is slowly re-stocking her inventory I finally get to do my review and send customers her way. Yay!!

Hair accessories ... who doesn't love them! Since I can't find certain items I'm looking for in my area, I was searching for a good site with good prices for beads I wanted. I posted on BBB FB page and Terica from Once Upon A Curl contacted me to let me know she had a few products. Although she didn't have the exact item in stock that I was looking for, she had a ton more that I wanted! I'm obsessed with hearts and pretty much anything cute and girly (hence, the blog name). She had a lot of heart beads that I have been looking for and a lot of colorful cute ballies. She even had a sale going on of $1 for each item and buy 6 get 1 free...how awesome is that? It seriously can't get any better. Terica is such a sweet girl. It was very easy to communicate with her throughout the whole process. She was even kind enough to add a few crochet headbands with my order. If your area has very limited hair accessories or you're looking for a really good deal please check out Once Upon A Curl on FB. She has everything from bows, barrettes, flower headbands, hair products and beads, beads, beads! Her store has a lot to offer. Did I mention her packaging is very unique?! (:

Sometime this month she will be having another sale of $1 items along with the buy 6 get 1 free. Btw, not only does she sell hair accessories /items, she also does party favors! Seriously, check this talented lady out.

Review: Braes Thangs And More

I ordered two grab bags from Braes Thangs And More that were being offered for a limited time -$7 for one and $5 for any additional. There was an option for infant and toddler and was said to be 12-15 items in each bag up to atleast $12. Around this time, pictures were also posted on the wall of some items that were to be included in the grab bag and they were adorable. Of course, I had to grab two, an infant and a toddler. When I received the package I was so excited. I especially was eyeing these Hello Kitty clips that I really wanted. When I opened the package though I was disappointed. Inside, there was a receipt that read "grab bag $7" so I was assuming maybe this was just one grab bag and my other was separate.

When I looked inside there werent many so that's another reason I thought this. There were 2 (different color) velcro Hello Kitty clips for infants that were so tiny Babydoll wouldn't be able to use it. Two clips-a butterfly and dragonfly along with cloth headbands which I wasnt too fond of. A white bow that had a bunny (?) decoration in the middle that I didnt like at all (I ended up removing it). A colorful korker with matching headband, small bow and one cute Hello Kitty clip that I really wanted. So, basically I wasn't satisfied with my package. The only thing I liked was the Hello Kitty clip and I only got one when I thought maybe id atleast get a pair since that's how it was pictured. I kinda felt like I wasted my money and could have just spent it on the items that I did want but I thought by purchasing two id get a good deal. I guess that's what you get from grab bags! It truly is a mystery and you never know what you will get. I will go back and purchase the items that I do want though and hopefully there are still many in stock.

Bee Mine Order

I have no idea why I didn't post about this..especially when I was super excited about getting it! Here is our Bee Mine order that I did during the 15% off customer appreciation sale that was going on a few weeks ago.

I ordered:
16oz Bee Mine Luscious Balanced Moisturizer in Coconut $34.97
8oz Bee Mine Curly Hold Butter unscented $13.97
Purity Rhassoul Clay Clarifying Bar $8.00

My total was $56.94 but then I used the 15% off code and my $25 gift card I won during the BBB protective style challenge for week 3 which brought my total to $39.29! It was a great deal. I even received 2 free samples for being one of the first 25 to order (I made sure of this!) I received the Bee Mine Bee Lovely Moisturizing Daily Conditioner and the Bee Nourished Ayurvedic Herbal Bar.

I loved the sale and opportunity to receive discounts and samples because I needed to re-up from my first order in Nov of 2010. I purchased the Bee Mine Curly Hold and Bee Mine Luscious both 8oz and my total for those two alone was $38.32! Crazy..anyway if interested in purchasing visit www.beemineproducts.com Reviews coming soon!!

Sassy Little Luvz (Bowtique)

I happened to grab a really good deal offered by Sassy Little Luvz (Bowtique)a few months ago. It was a daily deal of a cute pink zebra pettiskirt that I had seen often online. I always see this item advertised anywhere from $20-$25 and even though it is really cute, I never would have purchased it for its original price. I got the pettiskirt for only $11 shipped ($7 and $2 shipping) as opposed to $20-$25 for the pettiskirt alone. Great deal! When I received the package I was sooo happy I didn't spend $20+ on it. I think the pics were very deceiving. I honestly didn't know the difference between a pettiskirt and a tutu until I decided to write this review. Apparently, pettiskirts are made of soft material whereas tutus are made of tulle. However, in the pics I have seen of these pettiskirts made the item look really full.

Here it is on LeeLee (bow from Pretty Princess Hairbows, review coming soon!)

So I was a little disappointed but not as much as I would have been if I paid full price. I definitely thought the item wasn't worth the original price but that's just me. Sassy Little Luvz (Bowtique) has cute items such as infant ballerina slippers, diaper/tote bags and even fleece blankets she makes herself. Her items are great as gifts as well. She offers lots of packages. So stop by her page and see what it's all about.

Jewelry Review Youtuber: TheIceiing

I recently found a user on Youtube named TheIceiing. I cannot remember how I found her but I'm glad that I did. She's such a beautiful girl and does tutorials on make-up as well as reviews and even has a few videos on her curly hair. I even found out that she sells jewelry. A few pieces she custom makes herself. There were a lot of pieces I wanted to buy but for now I just chose two items.

One is an adjustable ring that is square shaped. Its a gold band with white, gold and torquiose color blocks. The other is a silver bow bracelet with an adjustable clasp. I love both items and will definitely purchase more. Her items are very reasonably priced as well. I got both items for $11 shipped. Along with the jewelry, she was also having a product sale where I was able to purchase some kkcc. I have not tried it yet but am very excited to do so. Of course, review coming in the future.

The only things that I have to say is that the adjustable part of the bracelet was loose so it kept falling off the minute I tried it on. Its not a biggie, I just removed it completely and would clasp it in one of the rings of the bracelet itself. Another thing was packaging, I order A LOT online so shipping time and packaging is a big thing to me. The jewelry wasn't bubble wrapped or protected, it did say "fragile" but who really listens to that? It bugged me a teeny tiny little because its jewelry and it can get messed up, but thankfully it was all good!

So, if you are looking for some cute jewelry or want to watch some great videos on makeup and product reviews check out TheIceiing on YouTube!
