Review: Chocolashea line ♥

I came across this WONDERFUL company called Chocolashea. I have always saw posts of these awesome products on my Facebook timeline and have been dyyyying to try it out. I grabbed a haircare sampler combo while there was a 25% off code being offered.
The haircare sampler combo includes the Aloe Spritz Healing Conditioner, African Black soap and Chocolate Whipped Hair Butter with Black Seed Oil.

First let me say her packaging was a-dor-able. I am obviously in love with anything cutesy and girly and this line has seriously got me sold!! The smells are sooooo yummy! My daughter and I couldn't get enough of it.

Let me start off with the Aloe Spritz Healing Conditioner. This is an Aloe-Vera multi-purpose spritzer.

The claim: Soothes dry and damaged hair and skin. Protects against the sun and will leave your hair and skin moisturized, super soft and refreshed and looking hydrated.

Ingredients: organic aloe-vera, glycerin, honey grape-seed oil, jojoba oil, vitamin e, essentail oil blend, natural fragrance

This spritz is aaaamazing. I have never used a daily spritz on Leelee before and always wanted to. This is perfect! After spritzing this on Leelee's hair it left it sooo moisturized right away! It also leaves the right shine to it. Plus, it smells just like a candy cane! The only thing I don't like about it is that it leaves my hands pretty sticky. It leaves her hair the same way if I apply too much but eventually her hair soaks it up and it disappears.

Here is a photo of her hair with just the spritz to moisturize.

Next up is the Chocolate Whipped Hair Butter with Black Seed oil.

Indulge your senses with Chocolashea's Peppermint Patty Hair Candy with a super fun natural aroma. This creamy nourishing Hair Butter is 100% natural super rich with hair loving vitamins and packed with Hair nourishing oils such as coconut oil, based with Pure African Shea, Organic Cocoa Butter, and black seed oil. Ingredients that stimulate the scalp and promote hair growth. Our soothing formula glides nicely on your hair leaving it soft, supple adding a natural shine and unique scent. A little goes a very long way. This Hair Butter is supper light for easy application and also excellent for dry sensitive skin and great for stretchmarks! 100% Natural!

The claim: Promotes healthy, strong and shiny growing hair.

Ingredients: signature natural butter blend, black seed oil, honey, vitamin e, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, glycerin, essential oils.

This Butter contains omega-6 and omega-3 essential fatty acids, which help provide moisture for your hair and encourage hair growth and strength. Specifically, the gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) in black currant seed oil is an omega-6 acid that can help prevent hair thinning, splitting and dryness, according to Dr. Andrew Weil.

First off, this product smells like nutty chocolate! MMmmmmM good! This product is pretty thick and doesn't melt easily for us. I normally wouldnt use products like this but it did a really good job at moisturizing her hair and keeping it that way. It smells so delicious and works great as a combo with the spritz. Everytime Leelee sees me pulling it out to usr on her she goes, "yayy! Chocolate for m hair!"

Here is a pic using both the aloe vera spritz and whipped hair butter.
Along with my order, Ladrica was generous enough to include chocolate kiss lip balm, candied cakes cuticle and massage oil and

I love love love the candied cakes cuticle and massage oil! It smells like sugary sweet cookie and cakes! I have to hide it from Leelee or she will try to use it all! Lol i'm so sad though because I decided to carry it in my purse and half of the bottle (4oz!!) emptied out into my purse! Atleast, my purse smells good now :(

The chocolate lip balm was too dry for my lips and didn't do much moisturizing. The other cuticle was something I liked, too!

In all, I would HIGHLY recommend trying out this line. I absolutely am IN LOVE with the products (If you can't already tell lol) Def check out www.Chocolashea.com and "LIKE" their Facebook page as well. She is always offering randon discounts and codes so dont miss out!!

Btw, come back .....I don't know, tomorrow? For a surprise! (:

You already know how I looooooove mohawks. I really enjoyed this style. I was able to switch it up in many different ways. See below!!

heart shaped hairstyle with braids

This style was inspired by this design I had seen on Chocolate Hair Vanilla Care. I thought it was SUPER cute and had to do it. The night before I actually already did the left side with the heart design and I put her to sleep like that because I was stumped and didn't know what to do to the rest of her hair. The next morning I saw this post and decided to incorporate it into what I already had and it turned out great!
This is the top left side with the "heart".
The right side of the style. Sorry its blurry. I basically flat twisted all around her head and tied it off when I reached the left side.
She actually wore this style for Halloween as well. She was a fairy and it went great with it. & babydoll was a lil bumblebee. I didn't get any good pics :( but they did have a lot of fun!

Review: Ladybug Jane lip balm + Facebook Giveaway!

I have recently been given the opportunity to review some yummy eco-friendly flavored lipbalm by LadyBug Jane.

These lip balms are 100% natural and organic vegan. It is nut free, petroleum free and paraben free. They offer many different flavors - Bursting Berry, Crazy Coconut, Groovy Grape, Sweet Strawberry, Vanilla Cupcake and Wacky Watermelon.
I chose wacky watermelon and vanilla cupcake. The vanilla cupcake smells awesome!!!! It is also very soft on my lips, practically melted once it came into contact. That good! Unfortunantely, this product didn't work for me liked I wanted them to. It took me awhile to finally write up this review because the first time I tested it out, my lips became really itchy, red and irritated. I was afraid to try it out again, but figured I might as well to properly review. The product works GREAT on my daughter and she is in love with it! The second time I tried it wasn't as bad. It worked and my lips get a bit itchy here and there but not like the very first time. I'm still not sure what it is , but it can very possibly be something I am allergic to since I've gotten the same reaction before diff lip balms as well. Nonetheless, I still use it once in awhile.

What may now work for one does not meant it won't work for the next. To read other reviews on this product check out

October Monthly Buys

Soooo, I feel like I've been spending carelessly the past few months. Shame on me! After, this month I am going to try my hardest to NOT buy anything else in regards to hair until next year...............I doubt it lol BUT I will try my hardest to not buy anything else unless we truly need it (or Bee Mine has a sale!) Because I have realized that we have a ton of products opened right now and I honestly don't like it. I don't want to waste any products either.

Now to the good stuff.
HAIR
3 packs of 24 hair ties at $3 - Purchased from the dollar store. So far, I like these hair ties! They are similiar to the Faded Glory brand found at Walmart sold for $2.50 I don't remember how many came in those packs though. I actually went to a different Dollar Storr today and found more colors! Even a pack of all black *sigh* I was so tempted lol next time...next time.
Carrot oil by Hollywood Beauty $2.84 - bought @ Winco (grocery store) I will do a review soon! Basically, I got this after hearing a few things about carrot oil. It helps with hair breakage, split ends and hair damage.

Headwraps $.88 - Purchased at Winco as well and snagged it on sale. I thought these were too cute to pass up esp at the price!
Cara B products (!!!) $28.00 - Purchased during their awesome buy 1 get 1 free sale! I def could not pass this up, it was a great opportunity to try out their products. Review soon!!!

NAILS (sorry no pics!)
(2) Sinful Colors nail polish buy 1 get 1 50% off - Rite Aid had a buy 1 get 1 50% off a few weeks ago (I also heard Walgreens had another one of their frequent sales of. 99ea recently. Thankfully, I missed it!). I picked up two, somewhat similiar colors, "slate" and "thimbleberry"

Wet N Wild nailpolish $.74 - Another sale CVS usually always has in certain Wet N Wild polishes. Picked up the color "Dreamy Poppy" a pinkish color to add to my collection for Breast Cancer Awarenes.

On top of these great buys I also received a ton of goodies in the mail. A few for review purposes and a few from giveaway winnings. I don't want to give it all away but to give you an idea of reviews to be coming soon include: Created by Nature, Karite, Urielle and B.A.S.K

Sinful Colors Slate

A new Sinful Colors shade I picked up last week while it was on sale at Rite Aid for buy 1 get 1 50% off.

This color is called "slate". Its a really nice dark grey with some shimmer in it. This is two coats. At first when applying I thought it was going to be sheer and I would have to apply a ton of coats, but after the 2nd it was perfect. I really like this color and think its great for fall. I also picked up another color, of course! Check back for that one!

snagged style: braided hairstyle

I got this style idea from a hairstyle I saw tagged on Facebook somewhere, so I did NOT come up with this style. Its a version of it!

simple braids into princess hairstyle pony

I really loved this simple braided style. It reminded of a princess. I simply just sectioned out a part it in the front and braided a few braids going back. I then divided them in half to braid the braids together and wrap around her head, and then secured them together where they met in the middle. Then, I braided all together and secured it with a barrette . The back was left out. (:

mohawk with flat twists and cornrows pulled into a side ponytail

For this style I wanted to do a mohawk with each row alternating between cornrow and flat twist, cornrow and flat twist. Half way with one side I got lazy and just decided to pull the rest into a ponytail to the side. I secured atleast three rows together with rubberbands that were dipped in olive oil and then pulled it together in a ponytail.
For this style we used Jaja's hair and body pomade by Created By Nature we won a few weeks ago from a giveaway by Untrained Hairmom. Review coming soon on the product, until then check out Untrained Hairmom's!

Banding Style On Natural Hair

What is banding? What does it do? Read our post on banding. Here is a quick banded style we did that was different from our normal banding routine. I decided to quickly do this after washing her hair. I was tired of always leaving it out so I decided to band it.
For posts with similiar banding styles check out Diva Locks Diva Diva Dos & everything in between and Braid with Me.

kid's braided hairstyle part II

I wanted to update on the current style we have in now. If you missed the first post check out kid's braided hairstyle

As you can see in the previous post all I did to the style was braid it all together and either secure it at the back or leave it to hang on the side like a ponytail.

To switch up the style a bit I left her hair braided together in the left side. Once I got to the right side I gathered hair and braided it together like this to get this look
I then added beads. These are glow in the dark beads and our first time using them. They don't glow too much at night unless you "charge" them by putting them close to light beforehand.

confetti nail polish - lonesome dove

Here is the nailpolish I purchased last month as seen in our September buys post. I picked it up at CVS for $1.99. Its called Confetti long wearing nail color in lonesome dove. It is a light grey color. I love how this nail polish is. The consistency seems watery but after two applications the color is great. For this color, it stays true to its claim of "long wearing" with Sinful Colors I get about 2-3, maybe 4 days of use. This color lasted up until I took it off at about one and a half weeks. It actually didn't chip at all with a regular top coat. I will be checking out more of their nail polishes to see how I like it. Stayed tuned to see the design I did with this color. Have you used this brand before?

kid's braided hairstyle

Im not sure what to call this style. It can be similiar to a braided headband (if its braided closer to the front) or even a horizontal mohawk. its very similiar.
After its all braided up you can either wrap it around in the back and secure with a bobbypin or let it hang like a side pony (:
